The project plan example is typical of a project that uses a waterfall development methodolgy. The acceptance test planning would commence at business requirement definition stage, although this is often not the case, and would continue through to the point of test execution.
Test scripts would be created against the original business requirements and maintained to reflect any changes in scope. Typically each test analyst would be responsible for their own business area and would write and maintain scripts in their own style and to their own level of system and business knowledge.
